Thomas Kann

International Finance – Latisur Capital Ltd.

Mr. Kann began his career at 40 Wall Street in 1968 as a stockbroker with Bache & Co. In 1973 he joined Loeb Rhoades, where he was appointed trader in the newly created GNMA securities market. During his career as a fixed income trader, department head and institutional salesman he worked at such global investment banks as United California Bank, Smith Barney, Société Générale, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities.

In 1992 he switched into the highly profitable long distance telecom market and founded World Access Telecom, Inc. which he ran as President until 2001. It was then that he transitioned into the Life Settlement market and became a Director of AmeriFirst, Inc. which through it's subsidiary companies operated as a Provider, Servicer and Fund Manager in Life Settlements. During this time, Tom helped in writing the procedures and anti-fraud manuals, establishing AmeriFirst Funding Group as a Provider in 38 states and setting up a network of licensed Settlement Brokers to purchase policies throughout the US. He also marketed a $100 million offering of AmeriFirst Fund 1, LLC, a registered S-1 filing with the SEC, collateralized by Senior Life Settlement Polices, to institutional accounts throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

Tom left AmeriFirst in 2005 to partner with Mondiaen Capital Management, N.V., a privately held Dutch broker/dealer and member of Euronext. Together, they focused on modeling dual asset class transactions using Senior Life Settlements for non-investment rated companies seeking financing through the capital markets. Tom also formed Creative Structured Finance, LLC in 2004, a consulting company specializing in the Origination, Financing, Portfolio Evaluation, Servicing, and Marketing of Life Insurance Policies in the Secondary Market.

In 2007, through Tom's initiatives, a joint venture was formed between Value Life Corp., and Chapman Hext & CO. The joint venture created a Servicing platform for Senior Life Settlements in conjunction with actuarial advisory expertise in the pricing and valuation of senior life insurance policies and portfolios of life settlement and premium financed transactions. Currently, Tom serves as a Managing Director of White Rock Advisors, an investment banking subsidiary of Chapman Hext & Co., a regional accounting firm with a full suite of accounting, tax, and financial services, along with investment banking, wealth management, and private equity. Tom brings with him over 38 years experience in the financial markets and is a specialist in Life Asset Financing. He holds FINRA licenses Series 7, 22, 24, 63, 79 and is a licensed agent in Life, Variable Annuities, and Health Insurance.
